Today, a customer broke my nose for refusing to give him a discount because the product he was buying had a fine layer of dust on the box. FML

Well, he was going to be severely inconvenienced by wiping the dust off, so this is on you. But for real, what a psycho.

If you ever worked a day in your life in retail you would know products collect dust instantly. How can you go around dusting every single product in a grocery store ? Think about it.

Maybe you should read what you type before you spill the beans.

Because obviously having a bit of dust on something calls for you to break a cashier's nose. This makes me a bit worried about going to my job as a cashier tomorrow...

I agree with 16.. I mean it was a little extreme but I have OCD really bad and dust disgusts me!!

Half the people on this world are fuctards.

if you're gonna use the word ****, use it all the way. don't leave out a letter

^ If you're going to start a new sentence, use a capital letter.

Clearly he's dusty on his anger management.

YDI for not elevating his request to upper management. Usually, when idiots like this have to confront someone who appears to have some authority, they realize how stupid their demand is and back down.

#23, "Oh, I don't have the authority to gives discounts -- let me ask my boss."

#29, you really have to deal with that many idiots? When I had to deal with the public, I was able to disarm aggressive idiots with my withering sarcasm. I guess I'm kind of a bad-ass that way.

Why would OP even have thought about going to the manager when it was a trivial complaint? I know I would not have. If he'd have broken my nose, he would have taken a nap via rear naked choke. No one ever deserves it, because they told them no.

then you get fired for assaulting a customer and both of yall get arrested. if the original aggressor stops fighting for any reason and the defender continues, it stops being self defence and becomes assault.

Should've said "oh wait, I think we have some newer ones out the back", walked away with it, dusted it off and brought it back.

He showed you having dusty products what is the world coming to. Seriously though that dude is nuts. Hopefully he's were all nut job belong jail.

Dust happens...just a quite wipe and it's gone...if it was damaged that would be different...
