No way you could have known
dont feel bad!! coming from someone with cancer he is an asshole for saying it like that!! ppl always come up to me that i havent seen in a minute n tell me ive lost alot of weight n i kust simply tell them that the chemo makes me lose my appetite therefore weight will be lost lol. he is obviously one of the cancer patients that didnt learn lifes to short to be a douche n he needs to enjoy life n whatever it brings!!!!
I don't know why it's that big of a deal -_- you didn't know he had cancer so commenting on his weight loss isn't a big deal, if you knew the guy he probably would have told you he had cancer anyway so honestly all you needed to do is tell him you feel sorry and ask him if he beat it or not. Problem solved.
I would have said "well, it's working for you!"
if he would have cancer wouldnt he be in a hospital he mayby scammed you
"I hab a cansur, b0ss"
Every black cloud has a silver lining

Ouch! But there's no way you could've known that. After that, I think the only thing to say was "I'm sorry to hear that. How are you doing now?"
LOL When I first read this, by "waiting" I thought you meant, "waiting for him to come back"... not "waiting" as in "serving food"... hahaha FAIL for me.
