Today, a dog attacked me. Its owner, instead of apologizing and helping me, said it was my own fault for making it think I was an attacker by running past them. We were on a jogging track. FML

I would have punched him in the face...

You need to report him and the dog. Imagine if it had been a child that this dog had attacked! It will attack again. Sounds like it has before judging by the owners response!

I wonder what kind of dog was it? Maybe It was a Chihuahua.

That was the dog owner fault- proper training is important- but if this persons dog has anxiety or issues with runners this asshole needs to find a safer place to exercise

You should have called the cops on that asshole, right after you punched his dog in the face.

Why the dog? It's not the dogs fault it never had proper training. It's the owners fault.

Right, because attacking the dog wouldn't make it retaliate at all.

Not your fault at all. The owner needs to take responsibility for his animal. If a dog is aggressive towards people or other dogs, he should not take it to a place where there are likely to be people and dogs. I work at a dog training school, and we get a lot of dogs that are aggressive. This owner needs to get training done, or his dog could seriously hurt someone. I would call the police on him.

I read that as "a dog attacked me, it's owner." made the whole FML weird as to why you were talking about apologizing to the dog.

damnit! my comment was supposed to be in response to

i would have kicked the dog in the throat and then reported the dog as unstable and have it taken away

Yes, because it's very smart to hurt a dog after it had bit/attacked you, right?

Guess Ceaser should use one of his tv shows and train this dog :)
