Today, a resident went missing at our nursing home. When I found him, a man in a blue shirt and red pants, he started yelling at me in confusion. I just thought it was his alzheimers. When I brought him to my administrator, I was told the missing resident was wearing a red shirt and blue pants. Wrong guy. FML

Methinks he's not the one who has alzheimer's.

I would assume he had Alzheimer's too if he was wearing red pants...

Did you assume he had alzheimers, or did they tell you?

I don't understand all the 'You deserved it'. Honest mistake in my opinion, you were looking for a disoriented old guy in a blue shirt and red pants. Not really a fyl, but embarrassing all the same.

Holy sh*t! I just saw on the Portland News saying their looking for an 85 year old man with alzheimers wearing red pants and a blue jacket.

well if they told the OP the guy was wearing red and blue, I could see how they got it mixed up. otherwise, YDI

WHO has Altzheimers?!?!?!? Sounds more like the OP does...

keep him anyway. maybe the family won't notice and it saves you from having to keep looking.

i think i go with option 3. i do think this mix up can happen!

what makes everyone think you would recognize the person? you have no idea how it is to work in a nursing home. whatever the OPs job is, he might never have contact with the person.

So where did you return this guy to? Wow, you're a retard and should be fired or be on a special work program.
