Today, a soldier in my unit had unknowingly lost a GPS in the woods and my section was sent to go find it. After hours of wading through chest high swamps in 32 degree weather, the GPS was found, thanks to the soldier who lost it. It was in his vest. FML

I can't believe people think this says anything about the state of the military. Do you know how many highly intelligent people do shit like this on occasion? It happens.

I don't like either of the options you are hurt I understand but why be so curl to the poor man who did it I have my phone in my hands physically and am starring at it then go ballistic looking for it. I don't do the in front of people thank god lol

Wait... How can you lose a GPS? Couldn't you just look at whatever device it is connected to?

how do you lose a GPS, the whole point of it is that it can be located, you should've been able to look and see exactly where it was, this story would make allot more sense if it wasn't "in his vest"
