To all those asking, I am highly allergic to bees and wasps. When I discovered I was in an enclosed space with it, my mind wasn't thinking "pull over and let it out", but rather panic. When you're scared of something, the mind doesn't always make the most logical decisions. I ended up weaving on and off the shoulder and hadn't realized a cop had his lights on behind me until he sounded his siren. I quickly pulled over and got out of my car. I had to take a breathalyzer and passed, and after explaining my ordeal, the nice man helped me get the wasp out of my car. And to those who say roll the window down: Have you ever successfully tried to get an insect out of a moving vehicle via window? I've tried this on multiple occasions and I either can't get the damned thing to go near the window, or if I do, the wind knocks them back into my car. :/

On the bright side it didn't sting you :)
Great plan but then theres that public intoxication charge. DAMNIT! so close
Its just a bug dont freak out about stupid stuff like that
BUT WASPS ARE EVIL
Crashing your car or sitting in jail is more evil than a wasp sting. People panic over stupid shit. OP probably swerves for ducks too...
You mean you DONT swerve for ducks?
I must say that accidents do and have happened, due to a lack of control on the road because of someone trying to swat away a fly, for example. Tbh, you could have pulled over safely to try and get the wasp out of your car, so YDI. Sorry for being a killjoy, just personal experience..
For the people saying "it's just a bug" and to calm down, there are some who are severely allergic so if this was the case for OP I don't blame her for frantically trying to avoid it. Although yes she could have had an accident but if she had gotten stung and went into shock that could have been even worse and caused a bigger accident.
Do you think OP is more likely to get stung being calm and pulling over at the most immediate, convenient safe time and place, or frantically swatting at it/ making sudden movements? I don't agree with you there.
Exactly...the safest thing is probably not to panic and swerve all over the road while batting and antagonizing said wasp.
Anaphylactic shock has slower consequence than a head on collision. If OP is that allergic, I would think they have an know how to use an epi-pen.
Lmao

I initially read that as "flew into my ear". Still makes sense, though...
As you open the window for the cop did the wasp fly out casually like it was never there?
