Today, a woman strapped her 8-year-old son into the seat next to me on a transatlantic flight. Thinking they'd been unable to book seats together, I offered to swap seats with her. She said she'd booked it this way intentionally, because he's a "fucking brat" on flights. She was right. FML

Seems like she is a "******* brat" BEFORE flights. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, eh?

I would have offered her the option of either switching seats or paying me a 1000 dollar/pound/euro/what have you per hour babysitting fee upfront, in cold, hard cash. Hope you were able to cadge lots of free alcohol from the flight attendants.

When the stewardess came around with drinks you should have ordered the kid a beer and then blamed it on the mother. She obviously doesn't care about her child, so ik sure she wouldn't mind...

What a selfish lazy B! She should've taken care of her kid, maybe he's afraid of flying or something! Not that she'd know cause she never bothered to find out. There's usually a reason kids act out. Could be fear or maybe he needs some attention from Mom (I'm using that term loosely here)! Anyway, you don't foist your problems on some poor unsuspecting traveler just so you don't have to deal with him! Definitely FML

Put some sleepy time med in his juice? No seriously, mom needs to take responsibility for her spawn

Lots of parents do not take responsibility for their kids. Idiots keep producing idiots. Lazy adults breed lazy kids.
