Today, a woman threatened to stab my eyes out because I wouldn't let her into the shop I closed and locked up half an hour ago. FML

Had a woman like this recently. Came up with a full load of groceries 15 minutes after we closed- no idea how we missed her, but she continually refused to leave. Hang in there OP!

Yes, because clearly threatening to stab someone is going to get them to unlock the only barrier between the two of you. I really wonder about that woman's thought process.

warn her you'll call the police and medical help, about a hysteric woman outside your shop screaming death threats..did she hit the window? maybe it's time your shop gets cctv for the entrance to the shop..

I've had this customer too, when I ran gas stations. Came in at 20 minutes after midnight after 10c off Super+ day. Insisted that I would turn lights on and reset computers so he could get the discount. Told him town bylaw said I shut down @ 12. Tough sh*t. I was the manager, so he could bitch to the owner, but basically F off. He would fill gas cans in his trunk to save as much as he could. I couldn't stand the cheap pr%ck. So glad to be out of that business, and retail altogether.

I work at a gas station/convenience store. I once had someone pull up to our pumps 10 minutes before closing. By closing time they still had not gotten out of their car, I think she was on the phone. So I started closing up. 5-10 minutes after I closed (after turning off all my lights, including the ones over the pumps mind you), the lady tries to gas up. When she finally realized the gas was not pumping she came and knocked on the door and I explained we closed over 10 minutes ago. She argued with me a few minutes saying she was already there bla bla. I just closed and locked my door and left since my ride was there.

I know your pain. I used to have people trying to get in after closing all the time. "Sorry, mate - we close at 10!" "Come on, it's only five-past!!" "Five-past-what, buddy?"

I can empathize, when I worked at Papa John's I had a customer call and threaten to come to the store and kill me because his garlic sauce cup burst in the box on the way to his house and got on one piece of pizza. Customers suck.

Used to have this with drunks at the Burger King I cleaned overnight whilst at college, nothing puts a pisshead off at 3am. Never got threatened with a stabbing though, things have moved up a notch. You have my sympathies!
