Today, I baked a cake for when my mum came home. I did everything I needed to do and put it in the oven, set the timer and went to do some things around the house. When my mum came home, she asked why there was a uncooked cake mix sitting in the oven. I forgot to turn the oven on. FML

Later in the evening, my boyfriend's parents invited us over for dinner. They served meatloaf. The meatloaf they stole from my fridge last night when they visited. FML

Today, I got up at 5 am to bake a surprise birthday cake for my 16-year-old son. I put the cake on the table and went to call my son. "Surprise!" When I came back 30 seconds later, the cake was all gone and the dog was licking his lips. My son won't even believe I made a cake. FML

I'm assuming you where pre-heating while getting the meatloaf mixed up.. I'm guessing your oven doesn't take 30 minutes, you were just busy. I hide stuff in my oven also, I have 3 kids. sorry everyone on this site is a bit if a moron today:( hopefully you got a laugh out of your ruined cake though!

"Haven't u been reading the explanation" ...yeah, coz everyone can be bothered wasting their life reading every single comment on an FML thread... not. She did say 30 minutes of pre-heating, not just 30 minutes of being turned on. (ie. she should have explained better).
