Today, after a long day at work, I was starving, so I stopped by the drive-through for something to eat. When I got home and hurriedly opened the bag, all I found inside was napkins. Thanks, McDonald's. FML

Welcome to McDonalds, we can see you're starving, have some ******* napkins.

This is why you check to make sure they got your order right before you leave!

Did you order something that you thought would weigh nothing? I assume you picked up your to go order from the employee at the drive through window and placed it in your vehicle, which means you had to have felt that there was no weight to the bag and that it was empty if napkins were the only thing in there.. Anyways, FYL indeed. Sorry you paid for a trip to McDonald's just to receive napkins!

Those napkins in bulk can weigh alot.....

#52 i severely dislike people like you who generalise all maccas and all their workers & think everyone will just give you the wrong order.

cryssycakesx3 22

you keep saying maccas. why?

TheDrifter 23

Local (to them) slang for McDonald's. Like others call it Mickey D's or Rotten Ronnies.

because different countries have their own terms for mcdonalds? isnt that hard to figure out.

That's why you always check your bag to make sure the order is right before you leave.

YDI for being dumb and not checking the bag before you left! Hope your napkins taste good hahaha smh

I don't see how they deserved it. Maybe they were in a rush and didn't have time to check for an order, that they should've received.

always.double check and couldnt you feel that the bag was so light... ydi mcdonald employes.dont.give a shit

stop generalising all mcdonalds employees. because i work at maccas, & oh, i give a shit. (:

Always, always, /always/ check your order before leaving a fast food place. People get paid for their service, not to care about it.

How did you not feel the weight of the bag?

Well, it is McDonald's. I wouldn't expect any different. I worked there for 3 months and quit. I was disgusted. I could not take it. I really don't even want to say what goes on behind the closed doors of Mickie D's.The service is usually bad, and the food is even worse for your health. "Here's your heart attack in a bag, your side of clogged arteries and high cholesterol with just a dash of diabetes for taste. That will be $11.42 and a slow death. Dr visit not included."......not to mention the animal cruelty. Don't know what I am talking about?? Watch " Food Incorporated". It will blow your mind and change the way you eat and look at your food. Pay attention to what is going into your body. GMO'S are bad for you. McDonald's is a supporter of Monsanto and against labeling GMO'S.

So you dont like fast food, great. If your not gonna tell us what happens behind the scenes then dont even tease us an keep your mouth shut

Well, #50...it's kind of a word of expression. Have you never heard somebody say that before? It's similar to the phrase "Don't even get me started" or "You don't want to know" or the details may scar you for life( that one was literal) as well as many other forms of the expression. It was simply just my way of expressing in a fun, sarcastic way what I witnessed and how truly disturbing it was. Everybody is different, and that is ok. I don't need somebody telling me to "shut my mouth " because I expressed how disturbing my 3 months there were. I am not wrong for not thinking just like you. That is not cool, dude. And to be frank. I didn't really feel like typing every little gross, disturbing, illegal detail at that moment in time. It would have taken me 45 minutes to just briefly summarize it. I had no idea that I was not allowed to express myself. You don't have to be so rude. Are you having a bad day and projecting it onto me? If that is the case, I hope you have a better day now that you have vented. If this is not the case, learn some manners, and if you don't have anything nice to say, please don't say anything to me at all. I didn't appreciate the snide comment. If you really wanted to know what I saw during my 3 months of working there, I would have told you. All you had to do was ask. Obviously you are curious, or you probably wouldn't have said anything. Were you nervous to ask me? Again, simply just a phrase or word of expression. Quite commonly used as well, I might add. Also, I never mentioned anything about me not liking fast food. There is a difference between disliking something and recognizing the harms or dangers in it. I can like a McDouble, though choose not to eat it for health reasons. Have a good day!

#40 i've worked at maccas for almost six years, & there is nothing thay goes on behind closed doors that is illegal nor disgusting at my store. but please, continue to generalise ALL maccas because of your three month experience.

cryssycakesx3 22

stop with the maccas. it's not as impressive as you think.

At the mcdonalds I used to work at there were bugs in the ice because the owner was too cheap to get it cleaned and put in a new filter. They've since fixed it in the seven years since I've been there but if I ever go, I get all my drinks with no ice. As for illegal, my mcdonalds didn't do anything illegal. Or really anything disgusting past the bug ice. It seemed like a normal food establishment to me!

Mik, it's a common rant for north American radical left enviro nuts. Chances are he's never worked there, or anywhere, as he's just spewing the same hateful vitriol, worded the same way and quoting the same vague allegations "you wouldn't believe" from the same sources as hundreds before him. Don't take it too personally, it's considered trendy among the liberal youth to hate certain corporations and idolize others.

#84 stop using the term that i've used for as long as i can remember?

#160 The part at the end of his comment really angered me. GMO's are no worse for you than regular foods. Have a dog? GMO. See a naturally growing corn stalk? GMO. Every living thing on Earth is a GMO, as everything evolved from and had their genome changed from whatever the first bacterium was.

Actually, # 96. I did work at McDonald's...not that it's any of your business whether I did or not. As for me caring for the things that I do, and the opinions that I have: your passive aggressiveness and sarcasm doesn't really bother me too much. But at least you are confident. I don't have the beliefs, opinions and stand for the things I do because they are "trendy". It is quite the opposite, actually. I believe them because they are what I believe to be right. Now, let's talk about the things that I saw while working at McDonalds. On almost a daily basis, my manager insisted on using out-of-date expired food including, but not limited to: buns, fish patties, French fries, chicken nuggets. If food was dropped, and you weren't able to tell, you were required to use it. That is food contamination, and just plain gross. On 4 different occasions, he had other workers as well myself work while on break. That is very illegal in the state of Oklahoma. Some of the workers also "messed" with the food, adding some of their own unique flavor. There were other little things here and there, as well. Although, not too bad. I just listed the truly disgusting things that I witnessed. If you still think that I am just trying to be trendy by making up an absurd lie about working there and having a negative experience, either you are delusional, or you just like to troll. Either way I could really care less. I know what I saw, I know what I believe to be right, and that is all that matters to me. I don't need any one persons opinion other than my own to validate anything about myself.

cosmicriver 17

Also, aren't you being quite hateful yourself? You don't want to be hypocritical and do something that you are picking on me for. Everyone has the right to an opinion. There is no right or wrong opinion. It is not black and white. Have a good day.

FastFood tip of the day: check your bag to make sure that you are receiving everything that you have payed for, before leaving the property.
