Today, I had a rare phone call from my ex-girlfriend. We ended up talking for hours about old times. It was the best conversation we have had in forever, it made me miss her and miss us. Later on in the day, she called back asking what we talked about. She was too high too remember. FML

Today, I had to go to the mall for a quick errand. While there one of my friends who works at a phone booth was there and I stayed for a little bit chatting with him. While chatting, a girl passed by. She was so pretty that I blurted out, "What a woman!" out loud. Turns out it was my ex. FML

At least he cared about your friendship enough to ask you, rather than going for it and you finding out in the worst possible way. Unfortunately he's put you in that awful position where you just have to say yes because otherwise you're the guy who "didn't want his friend to find happiness". Good luck!

I never understood why it's so bad for guys to date their best friend's ex. What's it matter? She's your EX for a reason, let him have the sloppy seconds and find out why later.
