Today, after calling my boyfriend and telling him that my dog had just died, he hesitated and stuttered, "She was old, sick, and suffering. Babe, it was her time to go." He then informed me he had to go to his friend's house and hung up. My dog was two years-old, in great health, and was hit by a car. FML

Today, I took my 17 year-old dog, who had been my best friend my entire life right from when I was born, to be euthanised. I had booked in advance. The vet ambled in all spritely and cheerfully asked, "Just here for a checkup, aye?" FML

Today, I was playing with my dog, teasing her, to cheer myself up after being dumped by my girlfriend. My dog bit me hard and I had to go to hospital. The dog has to be put down. FML

Today, I asked if my friend wanted to come meet my dog and give him a treat. We were walking to my back yard, her holding 3 hot dogs, when she said, "I think your dog is dead!" I said, "No, he's just old and sleeps all the time and won't wake up until you pet him because he's deaf." He was dead. FML

Today, my girlfriend of a couple of months texted me that she was very sad because her puppy had just passed away. Feeling sorry for her, I bought her another puppy of the same breed. I wrapped it in a blanket and placed it on the passenger seat and went to pick her up from school. She sat on it. FML

Today, I had to put my 12 year-old dog down because he had dementia. I was told I got to lay on the floor with him, and say when I was ready. The vet brought my dog out on a stretcher, had the vet tech put him in a choke-hold, and administered the drugs before I could speak. Now, I have PTSD and she has to undergo sensitivity training. FML

Today, I was at a friend's birthday party when I got a call from my mom telling me to come home because my dog died. When I told my friend that I had to leave because of the loss, she replied with, "Okay, but you brought my gift inside, right?" FML

I feel for you. When I told my good friend that my dog was hit by a car he laughed. Then he realized I was serious. It had only been a few hours since it happened so I started to tear up in front of everyone.

Pets have emotions or really, sense emotions. I mean, I've had my cat come and sit on me and purr when I was upset. My dog used to come and lay his head on my chest when I was having a nightmare in the middle of the night. I say used because he is now deceased. He was five. He was a great dane. His head was atleast two pounds. Two pounds of weight on your chest is garunteed to wake you up. Plus, you get a big sloppy kiss! Although, I'm one of few who enjoy puppie kisses.

Dude that sucks! your dog dying I mean. yeah it's great that he tried, but he could have been a little more caring. What was so important that he can't even pay attention to how old a dog was? let alone how it died.
