Holy cow people calm down! Has nobody ever heard of rehabilitation. If you don't help criminals get back into society they will always return to crime!! Besides, if they got probation the crime couldn't have been anything too serious. Meaning murder, rape or the likes are already ruled out. Also for all you know it really could've been a petty crime. Is the OP supposed to suffer for the rest of their life for something petty they did in the heat of the moment or whatever?? C'mon give them a break! And OP sorry to hear that. Keep on trying though! I'm sure you'll find something that suits you sooner or later.
I know you should be given a chance... But if I was qualified for a job the same as some ex criminal I'd be pretty upset if I didn't get the job when my criminal record is fine. I'd feel I shouldn't be punished for behaving well all my life while someone who did bad things got "another chance". This will make your finding a job difficult.
You do realize that getting off probation doesn't mean the charges just go away right? unless you got a stay of adjudication or imposition then get the charge expunged it will always follow you. Good luck though hope you land a good job. :) :)

Jeez. I do think that criminals should be punished, but half the people here are flying off their rockers for some crime they don't even know the full details of. Maybe OP's changed. He's obviously served (or almost at least) his sentence and hopefully learned his lesson. Ever hear of forgiveness?
Were you really a prison bitch as your name suggests? Because if you served time, it might not matter that you'll be off probation. Whatever your crime, did you not think about the consequences of your actions beforehand? Why are you surprised this is happening? To everyone who is talking about forgiveness -- why should a company take a gamble that this is the one criminal in a thousand who saw the error of his/her ways and turned over a new leaf? Would you trust a stranger with a record to house-sit?
