Today, after getting home from shopping, I noticed a security tag was still on one of the shirts I bought. I decided to take it back and ask them to remove the tag. They then accused me of trying to steal (even after I showed them the receipt) and kicked me out of the store. FML

I'd go back and ask to speak to a manager. leave complaint too on Facebook if they have a page usually don't recommend people do that but places hate bad publicity. Very bad service

You actually let them kick you out? I've seen customers who are dead wrong to stand their ground on the issue and get what they want... you need to channel your inner witch lady.

<p>I had the same thing happen to me at Macy's!!! I had bought a dress for an event 3+ months before I needed it and of course the day I go to wear the dress, the security tag was still on it. I had my receipt but because it was out of date, the associate treated me like some scammer, saying there was nothing they could do for me, and that MAYBE I could go up 3 floors and talk to a manager in their office (because apparently they couldn't be bothered to come down and help me) etc. I was so pisse

<p>I would report the store to the manager (speak to management if the store manager was there when this incident happenened). That is not acceptable and on all receipts, they have the ID code/number of the item that matches the security tag. If they really want to go that far, there is a security camera at all stores and all they have to do is look into the date and time you purchased the shirt to prove you indeed bought the shirt and did not steal it.</p>

I cut the security tags off myself when i did that once

<p>Since I assume that they wouldn't let OP leave with their "stolen" goods, does that mean they stole the shirt from OP? Because if so, it sounds like something for small claims court if it gets that bad.</p> <p>It also sounds a bit like they profiled OP with how they assumed the worst straight off and didn't actually pay attention to the receipt.</p>
