Today, after having my husband ask if I 'had any plans' for the weekend, and him mentioning that he got me something special, he played his PS4 for hours, ignored me, then finally took a break to hand me a tiny box of chocolates. I can't even be mad because he looked so proud. FML

At least he was romantic for a couple minutes not like some of us forever alone!

Yes treat him like a 13 year old, Jesus. How about talking through it and acting like an adult.

my man's like this I just sit with him and get all excited about his games with him even tho I know nothing about them lol but it helps mask the feeling of disappointment and turn it into some bonding

I agree that yes maybe he should have done more than a box of chocolates, but at the same time I look at it this way if you wanted to do something when he asked if you had plans for this weekend maybe you should have told him you wanted to go out for valentines day. Maybe try to get into the game with him i think it would be fun for both of you that is how I spent valentines day. we played ps4 cod cod blk ops 3. It was double double xp weekend. That is very rare for it to happen keep your chin up butter cup.

This makes me sad for you. I've been there. It sounds cliche, but communication is key! Feeling neglected or unimportant sucks and can lead to finding validation elsewhere. I'm not saying you should go out and find someone else immediately, only that it's possible that it'll be easier to "let it happen" later. Your name breaks my heart.

Valentine's Day comes every year, but Street Fighter V only comes out once.
