I feel your pain...same thing happens with me and my sisters...a couple years ago when I was around 17 I asked my mother for a kindle so I could read more...she said no it was too expensive. I understood that. About a year later she picks out the kindle fire for my 10 year old sister for Christmas...so they can play angry birds together. That is literally the only thing they use it for. She doesn't use it to read. Neither does my mother. I'm not kidding. That's not even the worst part either...when I mention that I had asked her for one to read and she said no...and asked her why my youngest sister got one for angry birds...but I couldn't have one to actually read. She said I never asked for one and she got angry at me because she didn't remember the discussion we'd had about it...she insisted I was lying. 0_o
