Boo ******* hoo, some guy took his own hard earned money and paid for something they care about's health instead of listening to some dumb **** on the internet and giving it to charity. What about people who spend hundreds of thousands more to buy a bigger house, even though they don't really a house that big? Shouldn't they have given their money to charity? What about billionaires who spend their money on playboy bunny slaves? How many little African kids would you save if he gave all his money to charity? Face it you dumb *****, giving your money to charity is an option, stop making it seem like this guy was obligated to do it just because he spent money on his dog. You know what else people do? They spend loads of money buying food for their dogs! And pfft, we ALL know dogs don't need food! They should have spend that money on some poor kids in Africa with AIDS to let them live a few more days even though they're already on death row because no amount of money even in your stupid ******* idealistic bubble could save them all. Grow the **** up.

I think the real FML here is that he spent so much money for the dog to die of something else (although the cancer probably caused the kidney failure). for that i'm really sorry OP. similar thing happened with my dog 4 yrs ago, he got liver inflammation and at the time i didn't have my own income and my parents refused to get him treated saying the doctors just wont be able to help him anyway (they just didnt want to spend the money!). it's not about the money. money is money, i would spend my money if i know it would help. i wish i had my own money back then. but also its not about gratifying ourselves and prolonging the lives of our pets (because we'd miss them otherwise), if the pet feels/thinks its time to go then we can only support that and not try prolonging its life and potentially making it suffer. this fml really sucks :( fyl but you definitely do NOT deserve this.

I'm sorry to hear about your pet. :( Hope he's on the rainbow bridge. You might want to look into 24PetWatch and PetCare Insurance if you ever decide to get another pet.
