no offense, but 20 sit ups a minute is very little. it's hardly exercise any more. anyway, if you can do 1000 repetitions in anything, then the exercise is too easy, and you should probably try to make it harder. whether your muscles show is mostly about fat percentage, which is why most fit females don't have abs - females tend to have a higher fat percentage.
