Today, after spending 20 minutes every day working on my abs for the last month and feeling pretty good about how they were looking, I received the first comment about them. A girl poked them and said 'squish'. FML

I am the OP and... 1) whoever said it earlier... I am doing the P90X ab ripper 2) I also have been running 2 miles nearly every other day 3) I have also been going to the gym and taking supplements 4) I'm not fat at all, in fact very skinny 5) This was the girl I liked 6) yes, I squished her back

Hey genius, you have to do cardio to get a six pack.

Comments don't get buried by moderators (all the time). Read my reply to your first comment, you may get a notion as to why you got buried so quickly.

Wow, that was quick to get buried. Properly formatted, and as you can see here, my spelling is exemplary. Just.... I don't know, but look how fast this got buried. What's wrong with this people? I'm just looking for opinions here.

You should've poked her back, and said "Yeah, you should be used to that huh?" -www.HatePost.com- Post Your Pet Peeves !

Thanks for the response twiggly. That's all I was looking for, and you make an excellent point. I don't mean to preach or impress my opinions on others, and I may have worded my original post badly. All I was looking for was an opinion like this. To me, that's one of the biggest FMLs of my life, but as some people have said, it's probably to big for this site. I didn't realize that so many people came here to forget their own grievances, and I probably should have. I just want to apologise for any bad memories I may have stirred up, and thank anyone who replied for their honest opinion on the matter.

Hey people do the math apparently rota did What is 1000 divided by 60? It equals 16.666667 Which would if you were rounding by hundreds it would be 16.67 If by tens 16.7 If by wholes 17 So almost 17 hours would be correct And for the person that called out rota you are the one that is stupid and/or incompetent And for the person that said it takes you 17 hours to do 1000 mins than you must be fat as hell News flash, you can't physically do 1000 mins of crunches in 17 hours, it's impossible However you could do 1000 mins of crunches in 16.66666667 hours Math people, and a little common sense is very helpful

1) A month isn't long enough. 2) If all you're doing is ab strengthening work, you're just going to end up with a 6 pack underneath that beer gut. Go burn some fat, fattie.

I think debbtennis meant "1000 sit-ups" not "1000 minutes". In your defense, the wording is bad. But in her defense she meant "1000 sit-ups takes more then 20 minutes". /facepalm

Those figueres are a load of bull and you know it.

30 minutes of cardio is a good rule of thumb. But people don't take into account food consumption, hydration (water helps with digestion, absorption of good nutrients, and more), and overall metabolisms of themselves. As an example, I know I put on muscle a lot easier then other guys. But I also take a lot longer to lose fat. Unlike a friend of mine, he can't put on an ounce of muscle no matter how much he tries, but he can burn through fat faster then the land speed record. So I always have to do more cardio compared to my friend to burn just as much fat, but he has to do A LOT more weight training to put on half as much muscle as I do. Rules of thumb are great. But people have to get to know their bodies better to make better gains.
