Today, after spending thousands of dollars and several years pursuing a higher education so I could get a high paying job doing something that requires skill and brainpower, I finally got my first job offer after months of searching. I will be cleaning houses. FML

There's a lot of us in the same boat, hang in there OP, keep looking at job sites and in the classifieds.

i clean houses, and in one day i get what others take 3 days to get.

ya, getting experience in your field makes all the difference. I did tons of volunteer work in college while getting my psychology degree, but most of my friends did none. now a year after graduation, most of them are waitressing and just starting to get into internships or volunteer work and I'm a crisis counselor at a police department.

be happy you have a job...yup can always keep looking

I didn't know you HAD to have a higher education for that. oh hey...missed a spot

So a degree makes you too good to have such a lowly job as a housecleaner?
