Today, after spending thousands of dollars and several years pursuing a higher education so I could get a high paying job doing something that requires skill and brainpower, I finally got my first job offer after months of searching. I will be cleaning houses. FML

By the way, cleaning houses and offices paid for my masters degree. I have a great job now but if I lost it tomorrow I wouldn't hesitate to pick up that mop again.

Sounds like me, except I shovel hog shit for a living. Yay college. So glad I went.

I understand your pain. I have a Master's and currently work part-time stocking shelves at Walmart at night. We will get ours soon enough!

I have a graduate degree and what am I doing? working at a Nike store while still living at home. I feel u.

I empathize completely, OP. I graduated from college summa cum laude two years ago, and all I have to show for it is a couple of internships and an eight-month stint in minimum-wage retail hell. Now I'm unemployed, living with my parents, and back in school earning *another* degree--this time in something more useful, I hope.
