Today, after spending time with my daughter and painting her nails she gives me a hug and says, "Mommy I love you, but I love daddy much better!" FML

Kids say stuff like that all the time. it doesn't mean you're not a better parent. :)

haha aw the innocence of a little child!

Don't worry she'll change her mind later. My first word was 'Daddy' and I always was his little princess, but now my Mum is my best friend and I bet she'll think the same when she grows up.

Quite frankly... a majority of kids have said that to one of their parents. If you look at it from a phycological view point... there's always something a parent has done to make the kid say that, they don't "just say it". Nothing is "just said" because the mind works like a computer and it stores things like a computer, except a lot quicker. My 4 boys have said that too me at one point. It takes time, and time is your best friend. Ask a phycologist... read Cooper Lawrence's book, she's a great phycologist, it might give you some answers for both ends. It also depends on how old your kid is and whether you're a mature parent or not... also if you act like a friend to your kid, which is a HUGE negative impact believe it or not.

Sorry, but this is bugging me: psychological* and psychologist*. Phycology is the branch of botany that studies seaweeds and other algae, it has nothing to do with children.

yes she loves you and you know you should be glad.. :)

little girls would always say that about their dad's because that's who spoils them the most... I used to say it until I learned my mom is the one I can trust the most.
