As someone who has struggled with severe depression for years, I feel ya. Sorry your step-dad's an ass.
Good ol' Massachusetts. Side Note: I struggled with depression for a bit as well, I feel for you OP. Stay strong, you can beat it.
I understand depression comes from a real chemical imbalance, but I also feel like in a lot of cases, you can "toughen up" before it gets bad enough that you need medicine or such to control it. that's just my take though.
Well if your step-dad thinks calling you a **** is ok ... that pretty much explains where the depression came from.
I can't imagine why you would be depressed with such supportive people around you.
This is why step parents get no respect at all!!!
I'd be depressed about living with an asshole like that.
I've battled with depression for years, and the type of people like your step father are the type of people that make it really hard to over come, but you just have to realize that no matter what anyone else says you are worthy of what you have and your illness is serious and true. I know it can be hard but if you can find a way to believe in yourself you will be able to over come your depression. stay strong

What? He calls you the c word and blows off your illness? horrid. stay strong, OP.
People can be so hateful. Surround yourself with positive people. You're strong enough to get through this :)
