Today, like every year, my next-door neighbors started setting off their fireworks at exactly midnight. Also, like every year, the sensitive car alarm belonging to another neighbor has gone off with every firework. It's been almost six hours of nonstop alarms and explosions. FML

Today, I had finally gotten my dogs to quiet down and my baby to fall asleep. Not thirty seconds later, my neighbor's car alarm went off. They aren't home for the weekend, and the damn alarm has now been blaring for three hours. FML

Today, I finally got my fussy newborn back to sleep after the creaking of my chair woke her. I then crept two rooms over and opened a pack of chips, the crinkle of which woke her again. FML

Today, I was trying to get a good night's sleep before the huge exam tomorrow, which I'm extremely anxious about. The SAME night my neighbor below me is having a home birth. It lasted NINE HOURS. FML

Today, I saw my upstairs neighbor outside getting the mail. She asked how my day was, and then apologized that the sound of her baby's crying through the walls kept me up last night. Apparently she heard me when I yelled at 2am for her fucking demon spawn to shut up. FML

Today, I was finally going to fall asleep at a decent hour. Having insomnia, I generally get about 2 hours of sleep. Right as I'm about to fall asleep, 5 firetrucks decide to drive right in front of my house with the sirens/lights on. FML

Today, I was trying to fall asleep. Unfortunately, my next-door neighbor's baby began to cry. I closed the window and rolled over, unable to hear the crying anymore. My dog's hearing is better than mine, and so he started barking. Goodbye, good night's sleep. FML

fyl and all, but it is 4th of July weekend n fireworks are just part of it. you should probably look for some type of ear plug or something to drown out the noise for the baby.

OMG!!! the same thing happened to me!! My lil guy has had a virus for 5 days and has been so cranky and we both haven't been sleeping well. Just as we fell asleep on Sat. night my neighbors decided to set off fireworks at 10:30pm!! I was sooo pissed!!

Just wondering ...do u have children? I never said that the world should revolve around my child's sleeping pattern!!! Just stating that I was mad because after 5 days of my baby not eating and not sleeping well, it just figures that someone would light fireworks right outside my house!!! U should understand that if you have children!!!
