Don't want to start the US v. EU fight here but I remember how painful it was to get a visa for the US. I guess we all have our own species of bureaucrats. Still I find it crazy that they lost you papers, good luck starting over!
My grandfather is going to Turkey, he waited a couple months before he was told the ID he put in wasn't valid or something.
I shit you not.. When me and my family moved to Spain we had to get visas and it took forever for them to give us our visa and since we had already been in Spain for 90 days we had to take a 2 week trip to London as a vacation waiting for our visas because we would have been in Spain illegally based on tourist laws or something like that
That sucks a lot
