Today, after we got home from the doctor's office, my mom checked the voicemail. Loud and clear, we both heard my boyfriend's break-up message. My parents had already forbidden me from dating. FML

well if hes going to break up with you over a voicemail, he isnt worth it anyway.

Your parents will never know if you have an imaginary boyfriend. They're not as troublesome as real ones, although the sex is not all that great.

Parents-"I forbid you to see that gentlefolk again." Daughter-"Awe, hamburgers.." Seriously, did they actually think you would stop seeing him? If they did then they need to re-read their parenting 101 books.

Dadtip 88: forbid your daughter from a boy, she's gonna **** him.

Parents - "I also forbid you from having a cell phone."

Better to educate your children about safe dating than to forbid them from dating.

Theres no win for parents and dating forbid it they **** em, dont do anything they **** em.

Not necessarily. Some people have more dignity than that.

My parents banned me from dating. It was so hard cause when I secretly dated and I needed advice I could never go to them:(

Dating snd having a bf is totally different My mom said i cant go on a date till i am 15 but i can have a bf because she cant stop love.

41 not really because in order to have a boyfriend you usually I dunno go on a couple DATES before he/she becomes a boyfriend/girlfriend.

No you don't I met my girlfriend four months ago and we've never been anywhere other than each others houses

Isn't it sort of like reverse psychology? Parents always tell their children bot to do things, but the more they try to prevent then from doing things, the more curious they will get and the more tempted to break their parents rules they will get. There should be boundaries between parents and what they want their children to follow, but being too strict can be worse.

If a guy doesn't have the stones to break up with a girl in person he shouldn't consider himself a man.

The whole no dating policy along with the no cell phone thing makes me think this girl either A.) is a seventh grader or B.) has way to strict of parents.

Where does it say no cellphone?

Why would he leave a voicemail on the house phone if she has a cell?

A relationship with your hand for anyone is alway good to keep when the chips are down...

Sadly, I find the sex much better :( I think I'm doing something wrong...but another thing very very right.

I agree with 3, he isn't worth it if he's too pussy to break up with you to your face

Why would he send you a breakup message through your homephone anyway? Dont we all have cellphones?

Georgieeporgiee 9

If they're the kind of parents who forbid dating, they're probably the kind of parents who forbid cell phones.

Or maybe since he was to big of a DB to break up to her face he took an extra step to show he was a Douche bag and left it on answering machine instead of her answering her cell phone

Say it's a joke from a friend obviously.

Probably because he heard that you were going to the doctors office to get your herpes checked out.
