Today, after weeks of money slowly disappearing from the stash in my bedroom, I confronted my son about it. I'm not sure which is worse: that my son is a thief or that he actually blamed his father for it. We've been divorced and haven't spoken for eight years. FML

you have a stash in your bedroom? Whatever happened to the bank?

Discipline should be in order. Seriously, who steals money from their own parents?

it's only gonna get worse

does it matter if it's a good hiding place you shouldn't steal from your parents.

it's weird that he did it an age where you remember the amount of money you had. it'd be a whole lot smarter to do that when you're at the age where you forget the little things. not that I encourage or approve of the son's actions or anything of the sort

lol, I feels sorry for your son's stupidity.

Just because you haven't spoken to your ex in eight years doesn't mean your son hasn't.

If you noticed the money slowly disappearing, why didn't you move your stash of cash?

times are tough but that gives no reason to steal

yes it does! times are tough! that's a REASON. doesn't mean the kid should steal, but there are reasons behind all action.

That money that he's been taking, has been used to buy his supply of hallucinogens. In his mind, his dads still there.

sorry to say it but you need to find another hiding place, and that place should be the bank. And have a serious talk to your son and find out way he stole the money . Ps I hope it wasn't for drugs or something much worst . please find out before it really gets out of control .

not everybody trusts banks, and it is actually smart to keep an emergency stash just in case.

just remember dumb ass what comes around , goes around, and please let me come over and steal your hard earned money that you worked for , since you don't believe in banks. And then you will see how happy that you put your money in the bank. Just maybe she was saving something that she really wanted and turns arounds and it's gone seriously how would you feel if that happened to you? Please get your head out of the sand and see that her great son is a thief and he needs a serious talking to . Or better yet wait until you have children and watch them steal from you and see what you would do ?
