They're afraid you'll succeed and move up, leaving them behind! Do it! Become their boses!
You should take the courses and then get yourself fired for beating the crap out of your douche-bag friends.
Wow, what a crab-pot mentality. FYL OP. Take those classes and GTFO of there. (If you put a bunch of crabs in a bucket, or a pot, some of them will of course try to escape. If one of 'em comes close to making it out, the other crabs will grab him and drag him back down. Hence the term.)
This is your cue to start proving them wrong. And get better friends.
Clinton was president during the Internet boom. Anyone could has done as well with what he was working with at the time. Plus, there was not much conflict to speak of during his time in office. Sometimes War is necessary for our country. There are a lot smarter more informed people making those decisions. Everyone's a pacifist between wars. It's like being a vegetarian between meals.
The Iraq war was good for our country? What the hell? All it did was waste lives and money

Except that when Clinton was president, the economy was at one of it's best points in the nation's history.
Poor Op. I would be a better friend than them. YOU CAN DO IT!!
