Today, an old lady savagely shoved me out of a queue, after I'd been waiting for twenty minutes. I couldn't bring myself to fight back or say anything, and ended up dragging my sorry arse to the back of the queue. FML

Take a stand. People like that will continue to think they are the boss of everything if you don't defy them.

If she's bad enough to start mess then she's tough enough to take the punishment that goes with it.

Rude is rude no matter how old, I would not have put up with that shit.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I wasn't even standing in line though, I was browsing through some magazines when an old lady shoved me out of the way, didn't say "pardon me" or anything. She didn't even buy anything, I think the only reason she did it was to get a chance at pushing me. I swear, rude old people are the worst.

I know you're not the only person to ask this, but what the hell is so difficult about using a dictionary or Google? Also, a queue is a line in which people stand when they are waiting for something, eg in a shop.

There is a reason why they say old people get away with anything. ydi for not standing up for urself

yeah... YDI because you could've just gotten back in line in the same spot. Even if you didn't want confrontation... stand behind them

Regardless of age, it was still wrong. If she is competent enough to interact with people she is smart enough to know that what she did was wrong. Don't feel bad to point it out. Only feel bad if you point it out in a rude manner. Confrontation doesn't always have to be harsh.
