If you have a phobia of schools why would you choose to be a teacher? I get the whole "face your fears" business but still... That's not a very good way to get over a fear like that.
So you decided to become a teacher while you have a phobia of schools? YDI pal.
YDI. You choose your job. If you're phobic of schools, don't be a teacher
So... Are you scared of the class being too loud or too quiet?
Guys, I'm also a teacher. I teach music to different numbers of people of different ages at different times, and I sometimes experience phobia of entering my own classroom. That doesn't mean I don't have the same passion towards making sure that my students succeed, though! Same goes for OP. I'm sure he wishes he didn't have this phobia and is still passionate. That's probably why he's a teacher.
It's called didaskaleinophobia
It's called being a masochist. Now, seriously, this guy should probably rethink his options. Having phobia of schools and chosing to be a teacher doesn't sound like the wisest of decisions.
Smart move going into teaching then... Ydi
You deserve it. Man up do your job.
You may ave chosen the wrong profession.
don't worry about it! you'll do great, or is more normal for a teacher to be scared on the first day for the students.

Why are you a teacher then?
But OP said he has had a phobia of schools for a long time, why become a teacher?
