Today, my students all handed in their 1,000 word papers. The assignment was for them to write about a strong, benevolent leader who influenced the world. Around half of the papers were about Hitler. FML

Today, in algebra, I took out my notebook. My Chinese teacher was so impressed with my "Chinese" writings on the cover that I'm now her "favorite student". Those "Chinese" symbols are actually Japanese, but I wanted someone to like me so badly that I didn't correct her. FML

Today, I realized I forgot to write a 5000 word essay for my English class. I tried to be calm since I had until midnight to finish, and it was only 8pm. I typed for three hours straight,and finished the assignment. I read over the instruction again, and realized it only had to be 500 words. FML

Mulan is a historical figure. Unless the essays they wrote are based completely on the Disney movie, they're not exactly getting it wrong...

500 words on one historical person? With three factual sources, including the original poem, I could probably knock out an essay speculating on the actual historical figure of Mulan in a couple nights. What is history but a bunch of stories told by people who were there, skewed by people with political agendas, and faded through time?
