Today, as I left the supermarket, I found someone had hit my car in the parking lot. There was a note tucked under the wipers. Insurance details? Nope. It just said "Sorry dude. I fucked up. Good luck with the car." Great. FML

Today, I accidentally hit someone's car while in the supermarket car park. I left a note, went shopping, and when I came back my windows were shattered, my tires were slashed, and "FUCK YOU" was written on my windshield. FML

Today, I woke up to find the entire driver's side of my car wrecked. Front door, back door, front and rear bumper smashed to shit. A drunk driver had hit it the previous night and ran. Don't worry though, he stopped and left his insurance information. He keyed it into the undamaged side of my car. FML

If they left a note like that, it was probably because they knew someone saw, so they had to make it look like they were doing the right thing. Reach out to the management of the store, and if they don't have tapes, post an ad or something asking for whoever saw it to get in touch with you. Regardless, report it to the police.

There are hopefully cameras looking out on the parking lot so you may be able to see who did it. And if you have comprehensive coverage, you may only have to pay the deductible (I know that's all I paid when it happened to me). Good luck OP!
