Today, as I'm pregnant, my mom came over to do some nice things for me, such as clean my kitchen and cook a large pot of my favorite soup. When she left, I took a nap, planning to eat later. I woke up to find my roommates had trashed my kitchen and eaten all my soup. FML

I know right? Sensibly budgeting for a baby is so ridiculous. It's much better to rent a place you can't afford and just raise your kid on welfare and food stamps. It might be in the scummiest most ghetto part of the neighborhood, but at least you have your own place...right?

********** into their socks. Trust me, it's possible even for a woman.

Not to try to upset you, OP, but your baby's father is where...?

I want to know why they are pregnant and have room mates. I couldn't think of a worse situation, short of being homeless and pregnant

FYL and your mom's life too. Sounds like your roommates need to be swatted. :| Best of luck with your child.

Roommates?? I'm pregnant and the only roommate I have is my husband. Maybe you should have kept your legs closed.

That's exactly what I was thinking!

Have you thought that she might be a single mother who probably can't afford to live by herself? As for keeping her legs closed, maybe you should've taken your own advice since you're pregnant also.

Number 44, it's a little bit different because she's MARRIED. Obviously concieving a child in wed-lock is more responsible than doing so out of when you can't even afford a place if your own.

why is it different. Some people only get married because they have found out they are pregnant. How is that a good way to start a life. Also the house could be OP's and she and her bf are renting out their extra rooms.

Wow..that's rude. You don't even know the situation. Maybe you should keep your mouth closed. I feel bad for you kid, having to be raised by a judgemental jerk.

I was in the same situation last year... some people just dont know when to stop and think...

Why is everyone bitching OP out about having room mates? Having roommates doesn't mean you aren't finacially sound/stable, and it doesn't mean you don't live with your husband/boyfriend.whatever. There's always someone out there who needs a room cheap, and if you've got extra rooms, why not rent them out? My parents had roommates through most of my childhood. Based on the way OP said "my" kitchen, I assumed she meant that it was her house, and other people were just living with her.

Agreed. I know a couple who rent their spare room out to the wife's brother.

I'm pregnant, married and I also have roommates. It's a smart way to get extra cash. Especially if you have extra rooms. They're leaving as soon as my daughter is born though. :)

Im glad some people have said it. OP sounded like the owner of the house from the way she said her kitchen and the fact her mum cleaned it. I don't think many mothers would clean the kitchen of a college dorm. Thats a very scary prospect.

Not everyone who is pregnant is married nor should they be. It is such a niave attitude to believe that just because you have a husband he is going to stick around longer than someone who is a boyfriend. Marriage does not mean more love or secuirity.

unleash those pregnant hormones!!!!! hahahaha!!!

@ #3,#4,#19 EXCATLY and OP dnt evn let thm play tht shit sayin "oh we didnt know it was for you" who else would it be for!? Wat do thy think someone out thr just randomly breaks into ur house and makes your favorite soup wen ur not looking! And it annoys me even more tht thy didnt evn stop to think "lets make sure we leave some for her kuz she is pregnant after all." AND THY ****** UP THE KITCHEN THT UR MOM JUST BROKE HER BACK CLEANING!? This is one of the reasons why most of the pregnant (well mothers now) women i no stay with thr mothers when thr 5 weeks to the due date (its common for women to give birth 3 weeks before the actual day and those young women wanted to spend thrs last few days without kids with thr mothers) kuz thr mothers no wat thr about to go through and want thm to b as stress free as possible. I really hate ur roommates >:(
