Today, as I was putting stuff into the back of my car, a man walked by and said I looked "super fine." When I looked up to look him in the face, he immediately looked disgusted and basically ran away. Apparently, my face does that. FML

Today, I saw a really cute guy in the grocery store. We made eye contact a few times and I was trying to work up the nerve to start a conversation. Instead, he screamed, "Yes, I know I’m fat, bitch. You don’t have to stare!” I got so many dirty looks I left immediately. I didn’t think he was fat. FML

You're reading something into a totally different circumstance and should not believe that. I'll bet that he simply thought he knew you and, when he realized he was mistaken, he was embarrassed. It is simple mistaken identity and you need not assume he was shocked at your looks.
