Today, at 6am I was waiting for the tram to go home from my late night job. A homeless man came up to me and offered to buy me a beer because "guys like us have to stick together." FML

Today, while walking to work, I saw a homeless guy with a funny "NEED MONEY 4 BOOZE" sign, so I gave him a few spare dollars for his humor. On my way back home, he was out cold on the sidewalk with several empty bottles beside him. Whoops. FML

Today, I saw a man begging for change downtown. I offered to buy him a meal, just to help him out with food. He said, "Sure, does Friday work?" I told him that I didn't mean it like that. Three hours later, he found me on Facebook. FML

Today, as I was walking towards my friends at the bus stop, a man came up to me and asked me out. This was the first time I'd be asked out in months. I accepted. When I reached my friends they looked at me then asked, "Why were you talking to that homeless guy?". FML

Today, I walked to Starbucks. On the way a homeless guy asked me for change and I lied and said I had no money. On my way back, Strawberry Frappuccino in hand, the same guy recognized me. He followed me for 3 blocks, swearing and yelling at me. FML

Today, while walking down the street, a homeless man walked up to me. He opened his mouth to say something and I immediately said that I didn't have any spare change because I was late for work. He then said "I was gonna ask you for the time, dickwad". Apparently he wasn't homeless. FML

wow. you had a really nice moment. I hope you thanked him politely, explained and then bought him a drink or food or offered him $10 - $20. what a generous man to offer you something so special to him from the little he has to share. nice story. certainly not much of an FML (unless it really, really bothers you what other people think).

I agree with U. Not all hobos are totally bad - some are just unlucky and poor, but he acted like a human sharing what he had left. I wish more people where generous like this - the world could be a better place.

Maybe he didn't think you were homeless. He might have thought you suffered from insomnia or something and felt bad for you. All of you shouldn't be so judgmental, I guess you all should be lucky that you think homelessness only happens to bad people.
