Today, at work, I had to explain to my co-manager at work what a period was, after he refused to let an employee go change her tampon. Afterwards, he panicked, saying he thought women made that up so they didn't have to have sex, before trying to send her to the hospital and fainting. We're 24. FML

I'm just speechless. How is this possible for a grown-up man in his twenties?

How do you miss that for 24 YEARS?

Send him to the back room to look at Wikipedia.

It's not the American education system that's messed up. It's parents attitude towards sex. Whenever some administrator tries to introduce a rational discussion or teachings of sex into the education system, there's always a huge backlash, and things have to be either watered down or removed entirely.

Me and almost all other boys at my MIDDLE school know what periods are. This guy is just a dumbass

This is... Special.. Yeah that's what it is..

this is kinda embarassing as i first learnt about it on my first ever date..i freaked!!!

perhaps a "move" was made & he got more than he bargained for in the answer?...

so I guess the aisles of pads and tampons at every store are just there to back up a woman's "get out of sex free' card.

Although i agree with your comment, I'm sure guys don't just go pick up a pack of pads or tampons and read what it's for.

I'm not sure I know how to respond to this. That guy gets to be a manager?
