I hope she still keeps the mutt though, breeds are irrelevant...every dog deserves a good home, and cats too.
I still don't get why people are so concerned about getting a 'pure breed' dog, when they are more likely to get certain diseases and there are so many cute mutts out there being perfectly healthy and lovely... also, 500$ for a living creature that'll be your best friend for many years is never too much.
I actually have a lab, pit bull, chihuahua mix... Also, adopt ppl
Sometimes mutts are the best dogs out there.
How thick is this person? Also, why would you pay for a 'pedigreed' dog when you can just adopt them? People sometimes just give the puppies away when their dogs get pregnant. My aunt gave away about 15 German shepherds when her dogs had puppies. And a friend's uncle gave away 7 golden retrievers last year. Pets are one weird industry.
That happened to my boyfriend. He paid $100 for a "pure bread" Australian Shepard. Turns out he's a Australian cattle dog corgi mix. Luckily he's a great dog so that $100 was worth it, he's really cute too.
That dog is NOT worth $500. Once it's a friend, it's priceless *sheds tear
Love this! *sheds tear with you*
Mutts should be worth more than pure-breds because they (on average) have less congenital diseases.
