Today, at work, I served a group of three teens. Their tab was $75 and they tipped me nothing. They wrote a thank you on a piece of receipt paper, put it in a glass of water and used a coaster to turn the glass of water upside down on the table, spilling water everywhere. They also stole my pen. FML

It's not only the younger generation. I see it everywhere. But if ever they come back, they'll be waiting a long time for service. I'm sure you're not the only one they did this too, so they won't have to wait too long.

Definitely not new. It was around in the 90s, but then it was actually used to leave insults for terrible service, not just to be a prick to a random server. I also long ago learned how to get the cup back off the table without making too much of a mess.

This shit happens to me all the time. I just don't get why people have to be such inconsiderate assholes. As a server you actually have to work damn hard at your job . I would understand if you gave shitty service, but since they left that note I doubt it, they should have at least tipped 10%. Dicks.

I know older people that don't tip because they're assholes. Assholes aren't contained to just this generation. I always tip the people that doing me a service.
