Today, at work, my boss asked me why I wasn't adhering to proper dress code. I pointed out that skinny jeans are in the dress code, to which he replied, "Only if you're skinny." FML

I don't really understand all the YDI's. It's not OP's fault her boss is an ass.

Yeah.....considering the fact the CDC guestimates that obesity (not just the overweight rate) to be 35%, I think there is a VERY good chance she isn't wearing "skinny" jeans *cough* And no, let's not start the shit with "SHE COULD HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION THAT MAKES HER FAT!" C'mon, the chances of you having that are less than 1%. One third of the population is obese, and less than one percent of the population has a severe condition that inhibits weight loss....Hmmmmm something doesn't seem likely. Cheers to processed foods, and the people who are too stupid to realize WHY they are fat.

It's shallow people like you that make fat people depressed so they get even fatter. Maybe if people stopped worrying about why people are fat and worry about themselves, then fat people would feel more comfortable in doing the things they need to do to lose weight.

Maybe they should take personal responsibility and lose weight to be healthy and not drain society down the line. If you try exercising, you'll feel better about yourself and then be excited to lose the weight and become healthier. The problem is when people suggest you lose weight or give you tips for it, fat people get offended that you're "being mean to them" when really all it is is guidance and/or concern.

that's a really mean way to urge someone to lose weight. it's okay OP. rock them skinny jeans!

You can sue him. That is so inappropriate. Sorry your boss is a douchenugget.

Why is everyone for suing these days???? Get him fired & beat the Holy Hell out of him, in that order...such a sue-happy country...

Okay, I'm a chick, & I would have 1.) broken my boss' jaw over that comment; however, 2.) I dress for my SIZE.

They're skinny jeans, not make-you-skinny jeans. Dress for your body type. Trust me, men and women everywhere will appreciate it. There's nothing worse than a woman who doesn't dress for her body type (overweight or skinny).

It seems in my professional opinion, that you are too fat to pull off skinny jeans and is oblivious to the fact that you burn the retinas of those who happen to see you not dressing to match your body. ydi.

Take the hint. Dress weight appropriate.

Everyone who is saying YDI because she needs to dress according to her weight are assumptive asshats. You have no reason to believe that OP is actually fat other than what her boss says, and he himself seems like an asshole. For all you know, OP is skinny and her boss is a prick. Unless you actually know what OP's weight class is, cut the shit.
