Sorry OP, go with the flow of traffic and there shouldn't be a problem. These kind of tickets are very real. I wouldn't be surprised if you are making this post from California
Lol! Bingo! I bet you're right!
How did you not notice the line of cars behind you? YDI idiot.
So what, if there is a line of cars behind op when op was going the speed limit. They don't like it, they can go around.
YOU DESERVED IT
There's a button for that.
And you deserve to have your lovable taken away and forced to rely on public transportation and taxi.
In all states, you must keep right so others may pass, and can get a ticket for holding up speeders in the left lane. What fewer people know is that in many states it is illegal to hold up speeders when there is only one lane. In my state, if you create a line of four or more cars, even if your speed is legal, you must pull over to let them pass.
That sounds like a dumb rule. You would have to pull over for lawbreakers or you will be one too? how about they pull over the speeders and let the legal speed driver go. I personally would not pull over and I would stand ground if cops pull me to the side.
74 then you would be for sure arrested. When a cop is behind you with lights you just keep going right until you hit a shoulder. I see people pulled over all the time.
the man has a point. mit.edu/~jfc/right.html goes over keep right laws state by state. spoiler: in must cases you should move over (even for speeders)
Impeding traffic
You can fight it. If the posted speed is what you were traveling, take a picture of the speed limit sign. Show that the road is posted at that speed. You would win. If they say you were driving too slow, then say you were going the speed limit. You are not suppose to speed because it would be considered breaking the law. They person in the judgement chair usually backs up someone following the law.
This is one of my biggest pet peeves about life, too many people including law officials treat the road laws like a joke, we need a serious crack down on speeders until people either change the road laws or follow the posted speed limit, it is never acceptable to go 5-10 over the speed limit, just because everybody agrees on speeding doesn't make it right
Actually there was a study done in my state where they determined that the posted speed limits are actually a lot slower than what's actually safe so it really was okay to go over the speed limit. According to them is the process to actually change the speed limit isn't worth the time when there are things to do that are more worth the time
the point of the law isn't safety, the point is it is the law, and it doesn't matter if it is convienient/time effective, you must change the law through due process, or follow the law there is no argument for breaking the law
The speed limit is the design speed which is designed to be slower knowing that drivers are more likely to go 10mph over it. This is to keep driving speeds under control so yes that is accurate
#39. who did the study? a bunch of drunk crack heads? is smoking pot also safe to do while driving? I know a guy who can roll a smoke while driving a manual (stick) in traffic. so i will fund my own study to say its safe to do so, just like texting while driving.
How do you get a ticket for going the posted speed limit?
Keeping at the speed limit shouldn't get you ticketed, going below the Mac speed limit will unless your in the right lane.

This just goes to show that being "too" careful also has consequences.
Don't worry driving will hopefully get easier... strange how he didn't just give you a warning considering you're a new driver
