Today, being the new driver I am, I was trying to keep my speed at posted because I know that cops will target me. I ended up getting pulled over for my too-low speed and given a ticket because I was holding up a line of cars. FML

This just goes to show that being "too" careful also has consequences.

Don't worry driving will hopefully get easier... strange how he didn't just give you a warning considering you're a new driver

Going too slow is just as dangerous and likely to cause an accident, ya got a keep up with the traffic!

I know how you feel, i just got my license a week ago.

If you're not comfortable doing 50 in a 50 zone for example, then you shouldn't be driving

Thank you! The road by my house is 50 and EVERYONE Goes 40. They kept saying "what if its new drivers from the high school? 50 is fast." Well there are other ways to get to the subdivision guys.

The speed limit is what your suppose to drive yes, but in reality you are suppose to go the speed of traffic because it's also illegal to impeed traffic *rainbow* the more you know

I agree with the others. Contest it in traffic court. If you were going the speed limit, there's no way they can charge you for going 'too slowly'.

Driving too slow is dangerous aswell OP. FYL for meaning well and having it backfire on you...

That's why it's a good idea to go with the flow of traffic. That's also why most people go 25 plus over on the freeway because the posted speed isn't nearly fast enough, which sucks for everyone.

just so you know... you can't be ticketed for driving the speed limit. most places do have laws about driving too far under it though. so... either contest the ticket or you were driving at the wrong speed.

Driving too slow is called impeding the flow of traffic and it can be dangerous especially on speedways where people are merging. I can't tell you how many times I have used a merge lane to speed up to the posted limit, only to have to slow down 40km/h to merge.
