I think the South Park movie had a catchy song that child protective services people must have listened to. But at least they are doing their job. They could not have known all the facts, somebody just gave them a report. Better to check and verify all is well rather than just assume all is well.

Why would you make the poor kid sleep in his deceased Uncles bed!! That would really disturb me if I was him. Buy a new bed, or why dont you sleep in it?!

Otherwise, you're coming off as an ignorant foreigner that is assuming that all "female parent"s PRETEND to love their children...?!? And I mean, "use them as toys"?!? What the hell is up with that statement? Everything you've posted thus far is in NO WAY relating to the situation this FML is describing. Do you just not understand? Many people here have tried especially hard to explain this FML to you, but you're still going on and on about the "female parent" who DESERVES (?!?!??) to be harassed and poorly treated by CPS employees, which is absolutely RIDICULOUS. Do you not understand, that in THIS CASE HERE, there was a simple misunderstanding: the child said something at school, the teacher thought it was a case of abuse and called CPS, and then it turned out that the mother (FEMALE PARENT) has done absolutely NOTHING. WRONG. -AT ALL-. The teacher had thought that the child had said he was sleeping WITH his uncle in his bed at night, when if fact is was only HIS UNCLE'S OLD BED that was given to the child. Open your eyes, learn some better English skills, and please, STOP posting on this FML. You are upsetting a lot of people with your unwelcome and EXTREMELY inappropriate comments.

Children are very superstitious and that is why he is uncomfortable sleeping in hid dead uncle's bed. Why are people saying it is cruel? I know it might sound harsh but children have to learn to adapt to the world around them and for all we know, the mother may not be able to afford another bed for her child and thought that one more suitable than say puttig him on the floor or the couch.

What the hell are you going on about? This FML (AND our posts here) has absolutely NOTHING to do with neglect, or going out and getting drunk while the child is alone... :/ Also, it would be easier to understand you if you referenced the person you're replying to by posting their post number (in the top left corner) or their username......

Also, I would like to mention that NO WHERE in this FML did it imply that OP is female, or that she was using her child as a toy. Its just about some kid that had an uncle who owned a bed and died, and then the kid started sleeping in it, worded his sentances awkwardly and had a moronic teacher call CPS on his parents. I think you need to get counseling and to get over your mommy issues.

I wouldn't want to sleep in a bed where somebody died! Get a new one.
