Just be glad it wasn't in the U.S. The cops would've sent SWAT to kick the door in, toss in flash bangs, shot any dog in sight, then tased, pepper sprayed, and beat him (and possibly you). Then charged you with resisting arrest and possession with intent to distribute (drugs they planted), seized any money and electronics about. Then destroyed the rest of your property. If you were lucky enough not to be shot and killed by them, that is. So, see, not all that much of an FML now, is it?

Not all US cops are dicks. A friend and I decided to park near the beach and get it on in the back of my van one night. It wasn't until we'd finished that we noticed: A. bright lights coming in through the front window and B. the cop leaning against his trunk watching us. After asking if she was of legal age and OK, he let us know we were in a no parking zone and apologized for interrupting.
The police may have told the OP that they were waiting for 30 minutes. Seriously why didn't anyone else think of that? It's just like when people are all like "BUT HOW TO FML?" if the OP has their phone or computer taken.

Omg I had something happen with a "friend" of mine yrs ago. My boyfriend and I were getting intimate, and we had just finished and the "friend" immediately said wow that was better than HBO! It was really embarrassing..
