Why do I feel this FML is just a changed version of the person who said they were in an AP class with a student who believed the teacher was friends with George Washington...
She was probably just pulling your leg, but then some people just wing it all through school so who knows.
You could have made a glorious pun there.. That poor wasted pun.. R.I.P. Pun.
Of course you at least got one of the puns there. You just missed the drumstick one you could have made.
I believe that's where pulling your leg came in...
Nothing like the history of good ole' chicken.
I don't think it's as advanced as you think it is. Sorry, OP.
So he's not?!
Well was he? did you guys get to find out, I'm curious
U. S. Uncle Sam is the personification of the government knuckle heads. You guys knock the kids in class but probably don't know the origins of the name either.
Probably cause they're not from around here.
There's a difference between someone (especially a foreigner as many of the people laughing at the stupidity of OP's classmates are not American) knowing who Uncle Sam is but not knowing the origins of his name and an American student in an AP class thinking that Uncle Sam founded KFC.

At least you know your class will never be dull... Just grab some popcorn while you're at it...
Colonel Sanders has my loyalty when I was drafted into the war of fried chicken vs baked.
