Today, during my boyfriend's family reunion, I started my period but didn't have any tampons. I asked my boyfriend to ask his mom if she had any. I sat on the toilet waiting, then heard him loudly ask his whole family "Does anybody have a tampon my girlfriend can have?" FML

Chances are they'll never let you live it down, too. Say in ten years you're married, then somebody brings it up. You may doubt it, but people love to remember embarrassing things.

Period is a natural thing that occurs to woman's body. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Explain to him the finer points of the word: subtle. For I fear they are lost on him

It's not that big of a deal all girls bleed and sometimes we need to find a cotton pony to shove up there.

In years to come you guys will probably just end up laughing about it.

How can you forget them? Don't you keep track of your girly things?

LMAOO..my boyfriend would so do the same..hahaha.

Seems like yelling that out would be more embarrassing for him. Having your period is normal... shouting requests for requests for hygiene products to your extended family is a bit crass.

You don't deserve the embarrassment there but you should always carry a spare tampon just in case. These things can be unpredictable as you now know.

My family wouldn't care! Don't be so embarrassed, it's only natural.

Don't feel bad about the way your boyfriend handled it though. A lot of guys get weirded out by dealing with their woman's monthly cycle. Kudos to your BF for making the effort.
