Today, for the first time in my life, a girl showed interest in me. She sent me a text message saying she wanted to come over and fuck my brains out. This would've made me the happiest guy alive, if only she weren't my extremely drunk sister. FML

I believe she incests on you performing unspeakable acts. I would just avoid her for a few years.

Better a drunk text to you than some sleazy guy who would take advantage and such.

Calm down, everyone who is saying it's incest lol. She probably meant to send the text to someone else. If she was drunk it's way more likely she accidentally hit the wrong name on her phone.

It's either she sent the text to the wrong person or she secretly wants OP. Seriously hope it's the former.

Much more likely it's the former. When you're really drunk you can't see straight...so it makes sense to mix up names on your contact list. But purposely hitting on your sibling? That's not something normal people do. F OP's life for the awkward situation, but I don't think she secretly wants him.

how has no one said this before me yet? "Incest is the best give your sister a test." lol. But seriously it's very likely not meant for you and you should get her someplace safe when she's drinking. And if it WAS meant for you I don't judge, just get snipped first.

Aww:/ no doubt didn't mean to send it to you. Pretend you didn't receive it?

I don't have a sister, I don't understand family values, so I know my perspective is extremely abnormal...I say go for it. As long as you don't knock her up and end up with a frog baby, who cares?

Most people are not attracted towards their siblings. I think OP is one of them and so he's not interestef. It's like when you're straight and yout same-gender best friend offers you sex, you normally decline

I don't think I'd say that. If the only thing that makes you unattractive to your sibling is the knowledge that you're related, then it's not the same as being offered sex by a gender you've never been attracted to. For example, people who don't know they're related often hook up and become disgusted with themselves when they find out they share DNA. The only thing that's changed between the point of them wanting to **** and never wanting to talk again is the knowledge of how they relate to one another. That's why I don't understand not being attracted to one's own sister being an uncommon thing, the lack of attraction is pretty arbitrary.

It's probably so repulsive to people because it's a deeply rooted instinct not to reproduce with your closely related Kin. Usually when you hear the jokes about the tentacle babies, it's because reproducing with someone you share such close DNA with is biologically wrong. Bad things happen to those babies, not always, but most of the time. And since one of the main goals of life itself is to reproduce, then yes it does make sense that being attracted to your sibling is generally repugnant. Biologically speaking, anyways.

Exactly. Pretty sure we could overcome that instinct if we were open about it socially. After all, homosexuality isn't socially wrong anymore even though they're not reproducing. Can't we just accept that sex is for pleasure?

Although you do make a very valid point, and I'm sure there are plenty of people in the world who are legitimately attracted to their siblings, my point was not necessarily about the entire population reproducing (yes I know I stated that reproducing is a main part of life, and yes I know not everybody wants to do it which is fine by me), I was mostly saying that since bad things happen when close/related DNA is mixed, that could possibly be a reason as to why so many turn their noses up to incest. But, what people choose to do and what makes them happy is simply none of my business. I was just trying to rationalize the reasoning behind the general disgust.
