Today, I asked a coworker what she'd bought her dad for father's day. She said that she got him some flowers, and I laughed because I thought it was a rather feminine gift for a man. I later found out that the flowers were for his grave. FML

Maybe that'll teach you to be so judgmental

You couldn't have possibly known about her dead father, but you still should have been more sensitive about her gift choice. No need to be rude about it.

I gave flowers to my dad's grave on Sunday. Repect everyone and their gift choice! Its a gift anyway

Your a prick op. You should have asked why, but you just didn't think before you reacted to her answer. That coworkers lucky she has a dad to go give flowers too. I have no one. Thinkbefore you say something.

You should've had enough sense to figure that out.

Real men appreciate flowers.

There's really no way you could have known. You can always explain and apologize to her later... I'm sure she'll understand

I see why your co-worker is not your friend, and why you should not ask her personnel questions.

Wow. Hope you felt like the complete douche you are, douche.

Why are flowers feminine? My dad loved flowers for his garden, I always got them for him.

OP was not thinking. So ill give him that at the most. However, losing anyone is a hardship that makes changes in the survived ones lives so incredibly sorrowful. Therefore, i wish OP will further better understand that laughing at any ones gifts is rude, but more importantly, thoughtless.
