Today, as he was going out, I asked my father if he stop by the store and buy some tampons for me and toilet paper for the house, because we have been out for the last 5 days. He came home with a 30-pack of beer and cigarettes instead. I just started my time of the month and we have no more money. FML

Today, my daughter got her first period, so I went and got some products for her, certain that I knew what was needed. The lady cashier took one look in my basket and sympathetically asked if it was my daughter's first period and if I wanted help, since I clearly had no idea what I was doing. FML

Today, I was at the supermarket checkout. I handed over my items, which included some tampons, tissues, and toilet roll. The security guard standing beside the cashier remarked loudly, "I'll be damned; she's flowing from every hole!" FML

Today, I got my period, and had to rush to my parents' bathroom for some pads. They'd put all our wrapped presents in their bathroom. As I was looking, my dad thought I was opening presents and barged in, only to see me with my pants around my ankles. Now he won't stop laughing. FML

Today, during my boyfriend's family reunion, I started my period but didn't have any tampons. I asked my boyfriend to ask his mom if she had any. I sat on the toilet waiting, then heard him loudly ask his whole family "Does anybody have a tampon my girlfriend can have?" FML

He may have been messing around with OP though, my dad used to mess around with my sister when she was running low on things for her period, and now she asks me to take her there because my dad shouts stuff like "PADS TAMPONS???? ANYWHERE? ANYONE HAVE A FEW SPARE? SHES GUSHING BLOOD!!!"

4 - in commenting how the dad was assuming things he shouldnt, you make an assumption you shouldnt about him being married (my parents never got married like many others), plus you can tell by the fml that it WAS tapons she needed, otherwise it would probably have been mentioned, so your a little off here sorry

I would have been deeply embarrassed but... he is very funny too. Maybe you should explain to him that next time you won't hesitate to ask loudly where are stored the diapers for adults that your dad needs... Just a idea.
