That's a bummer. I have similar anxiety issues, and I'd probably have had a panic attack over that as well, but I'd have been able to see that you were just trying to do something nice and I'd have given you a shot. Sorry it didn't turn out for you.
At least you really tried. She should of agreed op
No. No she shouldn't. Making a grand gesture does not obligate the recipient to date you or anything else. Op shouldn't have put her in that position, it was selfish of him to place her in the spotlight like that. Especially for a first date. Op: YDI
At least you have it a shot ! She is the one who will be missing some good times & wild adventures.
You made her have a panic attack and think you have a bad life because you didn't get a date? What the hell!
I have severe anxiety and panic attacks.. That said, I would still be flattered if someone went to all that trouble just to ask me out on a date :)
At this stage of the game, how could you have known this about her? Also, who's still caught off guard by a flash mob..? FYL.
It's not being caught off guard, it's the 'mob' that's terrifying
Bad luck on that one OP..... That does sound like a super cute idea though!!!!

Why go all out when something as simple as you saying "will you go out with me?" would work? Save that shit for marriage proposals.
Well, maybe try to tone down the extravagant gestures towards people you don't know very well yet? I hope she appreciated the effort, though....
