Today, I auditioned for my school's production of Romeo and Juliet. When they announced that I got the part as Juliet, all the guys auditioning for Romeo suddenly disappeared. FML

You made the guys feel insecure, OP. I'll be your Romeo, OP, use mints, though. Rofl, WTF am I typing?

Can't you get your cousin or brother to play Romeo?

I see what you did there! OP, congrats on getting the part of Juliet and break a leg!

At least if she breaks a leg, Romeo won't suffer!

lol u must be an ugly ass mother ******!

You are either ugly or one of those super annoying chicks.use this as an opportunity to fix what is wrong with you

Maybe you should offer to wear a mask, it's just being considerate.

why would an ugly chick audition for a pretty person job?

@69, how good looking you are isn't usually a factor when it comes to stage acting, because most of the audience is too far away to see your face in detail anyway.

but how could she properly research her part when she looks like a troll? To act a part, it must be something you'd be capable of. Ugly girls don't know HOW to be pretty girls.

78 thanks for feeding me I was getting hungry

maybe they got nervous because youre too good or pretty

because all teenage guys wanna run from the chance to be near hot girls

sounds like they had their heart set on kissing one of the other girls that auditioned maybe? hopefully? :/

Sorry, OP, I'm goingto have to call shenanigans on this one. I've done a lot of theatre, and never, at any school or theatre have I ever encountered, have I seen auditions work that way. Auditions are held, then usually callbacks, and then a cast list is posted, usually physically at the school/location and/or online. Especially at school auditions, they don't audition one character, announce who landed the role, and then move on to the next role. If, somehow, this is true, then I'm sorry this happened because it must be incredibly discouraging, and I hope that whatever their reasons were that they weren't personal. But I just feel like this FML is fake.

They're obviously not set on being actors then, if they make such a big deal about kissing someone. I remember when my then-girlfriend kicked up a massive fuss because I was to kiss my (note: lesbian) friend in a play. It's just a kiss, it's not like it means anything.

you've clearly never been near an ugly person before it almost makes you wanna puke
